Ballet open level

The Open Level Ballet class is for people who are already familiar with the basic steps of classical ballet or who wish to return to it after a break of several years. We will focus on posture, coordination, musicality and spatial awareness, gaining confidence in more complex steps, turns and jumps. It's never too late to take care of yourself, your body and your dance. Joining is always possible.

Floorwork - Contemporary dance beginner/ basic

This class is designed for people who are first introduced to contemporary dance and aims to develop and improve their floorwork technique.

We will focus on:

Strengthening and mobilizing the legs/ankles, hamstrings and hip flexors to move across the floor safely and easily.
Strengthening the shoulders to avoid injury, proper posture and weight management.
Body awareness and interaction with space and movement.
Use of breathing as a tool for understanding movement.

Georgakila Marina was born in Kalamata and is a graduate of the Higher Professional School "Chorochronos". Since 2021 she has been teaching classical and contemporary dance in dance schools and studios. She has participated in dance festivals such as the contemporary dance festival "Compartments Dance Project".
